DESCRIPTION

Ranger Power is seeking Interconnection Coordinator to support the management of our interconnection queue positions and processes. This coordinator will be part of a Transmission and Interconnection team that interfaces with multiple internal and external clients including developers, investors, transmission owners, Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs), energy policy organizations and technical consultants, to advance Ranger’s portfolio of solar and energy storage projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interconnection Process Management: Coordinate the collection of information necessary for the submission of new interconnection queue project applications. Maintain the interconnection process schedule across multiple interconnection queues. Abstract from RTO and transmission owner (TO) communications all deadlines and decision windows related to active queue positions or prospective project filing deadlines. This will require both tracking of incoming communications and occasional outreach to RTO staff and/or transmission owner staff, and an understanding of the internal points of responsibility for each deadline and/or milestone.
  • Internal Process/Project Management: Support and coordinate meetings and action items in support of Ranger’s core interconnection tasks, including prospecting, queue administration, interconnection financial obligations, and the generator interconnection process. This task will require effective written and verbal communication, attention to detail, effective use of scheduling and task tracking software, research skills, and effective coordination of consultant resources.
  • Development Support:  Coordinate research projects independently, with consultant support, and in collaboration with Ranger team members and interns to answer important commercial and technical questions in support of prospecting, mid and late-stage project development.
  • Maintain Project Trackers and Profiles: Update interconnection-related information in project trackers and profiles as internal and external schedules change. Integrate feedback from Development and Operations as well as external (RTO/TO) schedule changes into project timelines, teasers, internal slide presentations, and trackers.
  • Manage Multiple Tasks Simultaneously: Develop and manage several projects (or project components) at various stages, under tight deadlines and according to specific business plans.
  • Prepare Quality Work Product: Prepare project documents, reports, presentations, and other work product in a timely, complete, and accurate manner.
  • Reflect Well on Ranger Power: Put Ranger in a positive light by always dealing with stakeholders, including landowners, government officials, contractors, and counter- parties, in a manner that is ethical, professional, and respectful.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in project management, coordination, scheduling and/or a Project Management certification and demonstrated skill.
  • Interest in growing skills and expertise in the solar and renewable energy industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team and take the initiative to follow up as needed.
  • Some domestic travel required.
