DESCRIPTION

Ranger Power is seeking an entry – to mid-level project assistant to assist in the legal department. The project assistant will help manage the various aspects of the Company’s legal issues and will support the attorneys in the legal department, including in real estate, regulatory, corporate governance, and tax law.

Candidates should have a passion for renewable energy and promoting Ranger Power’s mission to increase community-supported utility-scale solar projects in the U.S.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the legal department’s corporate and business activities, including maintaining corporate records.
  • Assist the real estate management team with legal management of real estate contracts, process, and compliance.
  • Assist with the preparation of commercial agreements, including professional service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, requests for proposals, and term sheet.
  • Manage the Company’s real estate agreement processing system.
  • Manage internal processes and software systems to track the processing of real estate agreements to ensure compliance.
  • Review and help maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in Company documents.
  • Help design, recommend, and implement new processes and procedures.
  • Help attorneys coordinate due diligence efforts and support review of materials.
  • Work independently and support the legal department to tackle a wide range of legal issues.
  • Lead and manage projects assigned by attorneys
  • Place the Company in a positive light by always dealing with counterparties in a professional, respectful, and ethical manner.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-4 years of experience
  • Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively and respectfully with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work effectively, multi-task, and tackle time-sensitive matters
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry a plus, but not required
  • General familiarity with corporate and real estate law a plus, but not required
  • Regular travel is required
