Ranger Power is seeking a Director/Senior Manager of People and Culture to build and scale our people programs. As the first dedicated leader of our People Team, you will be tasked with building, developing, and supporting an effective and engaged team at Ranger. This role reports to the CEO and President.
Recruitment, Hiring, and Onboarding: build and manage our recruiting and onboarding strategies, including recruiter engagement, interview preparation, as well as welcoming and onboarding new team members to ensure new hires are integrated successfully into the team and can hit the ground running.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commitment: support the company’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts by advising company on its ongoing DEI work.
People Strategy: Develop and execute on our people strategy. This includes evaluating and improving existing processes, technologies, and policies, as well as designing and implementing others from scratch.
Business Partnership & Coaching: Provide business partnership, thought partnership and coaching to all levels of the teams that you support. Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on issues that arise.
Employee Engagement and Retention: Develop and deploy initiatives to drive employee engagement, and support the company’s efforts to make Ranger Power a positive, rewarding, and long-lasting place to work.
Compensation: partner with the executive team on all compensation and workforce planning initiatives.
Policies & Compliance: Develop, train, and administer corporate HR policies to address existing needs and forecast future needs as the company grows. Lead the company’s work to proactively ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
Administration of HR Programs and Benefits: Administer the company’s HR programs, including but not limited to the company’s benefits programs, compensation, leave, performance evaluations and improvement plans. Partner with the VP of Accounting to ensure a smooth and accurate benefit enrollment and payroll experience
Bachelor’s degree required.
5-8 years’ of people ops, human resources, or related experience in growing company.
Experience setting up internal people policies, systems, and procedures in a growing company.
Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize work.
Strong interpersonal skills and a deep ability to understand what motivates others.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to work through challenging situations.
Ability to write and communicate verbally in an effective and compelling manner.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel
Ability and willingness to travel 1-2 times per month
