Ranger Power is looking for a part-time legal intern currently in law school. The legal intern will gain exposure to and be involved in the various functions of an in-house legal department for a renewable energy development company, including corporate governance, project development, compliance management, and litigation.
Candidates should have a passion for renewable energy and promoting Ranger Power’s mission to increase community-supported utility-scale renewable energy projects in the U.S.
Legal Drafting. Assist attorneys in drafting, revising, and preparing legal agreements.
Legal Compliance. Assist in various federal, state, and local regulatory compliance management, including both company- and project-based compliance.
Legal Projects. Support attorneys in tackling a wide range of legal issues, including coordinating with different parts of the company to assemble material information and knowledge to assist where legal is involved.
Prepare Quality Work Product. Work both as part of a team and independently to support the legal department.
Bachelor’s degree required
Current law student
Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively and respectfully with stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work effectively, multi-task, and tackle time-sensitive matters
Passion for the renewable energy industry
